This majestic Himalayan peak standing at 6993 meters in the Annapurna Himal of north central Nepal is called Mount Machhapuchchhre, also known as the Fishtail Mountain due to its double summit that looks like a fishtail. The mountain is revered by the local population as particularly sacred to the God Shiva, and hence is off limits to climbing. The Himalayas, Nepal.
