Lake Titicaca is located in the Andes between Bolivia and Peru. It is the largest freshwater lake in South America, and is also regarded as the highest navigable lake in the world. Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun) is the largest Island on the lake. Famous for its walking trails, beautiful coastline and eighty or so Inca sites spread around the island. On the island is Roca Sagrada, a large rock said to be the birthplace of the first Inca. The island is on the Bolivian side of the lake and is reached by boat from the city of Copacabana.
In this image. The Fountain of the Inca is a natural water source containing three separate spouts which the Incas referred to as “Ama sua, Ama Kella and Ama Llulla”, translated in English as “Don’t be lazy, don’t be a liar, don’t be a thief”. Commonly referred to as the “Fountain of Youth”
