A Section Of The Wall At Sacsayhuaman is a citadel on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco, Peru, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Most of the complex was destroyed in the Spanish conquest of Peru. Archaeologists believe A Section Of The Wall At Sacsayhuaman was built by the Killke culture, and expanded by the Inca in the 13th century. One of the most important and mysterious constructions of the ancient world the citadel continues to divide opinion as to how and why it was built.
The image shows a section of the tightly assembled and beautifully cut stone that A Section Of The Wall At Sacsayhuaman is famous for. Peru, South America.
