The skeletons trees are the remains of an ancient forest that once flourished in this part of the Namib desert. Cut off from their water source, the trees died leaving a skeleton forest. Dead Vlei, Sossusvlei, Namibia, Southern Africa. The Namib desert is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
